Tom, we see you down in Children’s Ministry leading praise and prayer. Tell us a little about how you got started in ministry. Did you know as a child that you would end up in church leadership?
Not as a child, but when I was graduating with my engineering degree I strongly considered seminary.
We need to know, what is your favorite cereal?
Steel cut oats, with hot sauce!
What is the best meal you’ve ever had?
Samantha packed a picnic and kidnapped me from work when we were still newlyweds. It started to hail while we were eating it, and we had to run to the car and finish it sitting in the front seat, listening to the ice balls hammering the roof. We still laugh about that one 20 years later.
Describe your sense of humor. What makes you laugh?
Any joke that I tell. (Obviously, if I didn’t think they were funny, I wouldn’t tell them.) Or any joke Samantha tells, because they’re always clever and generally come out of the blue.
