We would love to see you at one of our Sunday services at 9 or 11am! Because part of our Mission is to become an authentic community, we’ve intentionally designed our building and our services to be comfortable and relaxed, so everyone can feel free to come as they are and be themselves.
When you first arrive:
You will be greeted by one of our members at the door, who will provide you with a bulletin of the morning’s service and upcoming events. Our café opens 15 minutes prior to the service and offers complimentary beverages, bagels and donuts. This is a time to meet and talk with old and new friends before the service begins. For parents, you can also check your kids into our KidZone starting 15 minutes before the service.
Our service gets started with one song of worship. Our music is contemporary, and the words are projected on a screen overhead, so everyone can follow along. After a short welcome, we’ll pray for and collect the offering, to which visitors should not feel compelled to give; you’re our guest! We’ll then hear a teaching that is Bible-based and that addresses real-life issues we each face every day. We close our services with a few more worship songs and an opportunity for anyone to receive prayer from our Prayer Ministry team. Our services last about an hour and fifteen minutes, and we love for people to come early and hang out after to get to know each other better.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will I be put on the spot? “Hey… there’s the new person!”
We understand most people appreciate being welcomed but don’t want to be put on the spot. So don’t worry; we won’t stick a nametag on you or make you stand up and say anything. We’re a very welcoming and personable community, so it’s likely that a few of our members will introduce themselves and show an interest in getting to know you a little and answering any questions you may have about us.
Will my kids like it and be well cared for?
We love kids, and believe that they are just as valuable as the adults up in “big church.” We have a great kids program during both services where we provide a safe, loving and fun environment for them to learn about Jesus on their level. All of our children’s workers love kids, are known and released to work with the kids through our leadership, and must pass a background check. (see KidZone link for more details).
Will they ask me for money?
We do take an offering, but it is only for those who are committed to our church. As our guest, you should feel no pressure to give to the offering.
How should I dress?
However you feel comfortable. In general, we’re casual (jeans and T-shirt are fine), but others dress up as well.
What if I’m not a Christian, believe differently, or am trying to figure out what I believe?
We have many people in all of these categories, who are checking us out. We would never want you to pretend to be or believe anything. We want our church to be a place where everyone feels comfortable to be themselves, to investigate Christianity, and to worship God freely.
